Our Mission

Because of Jesus Christ, Niner Christian Life purposes to develop a network of learning communities that empower people to be spiritually, emotionally and relationally healthy, and that prepare them to serve their community and the nations.

Just as Jesus modeled and spoke of impacting those around you, we here at Niner Christian Life aspire to do the same. While laboring with our sister church, Grace Community Church, in Raleigh we were gripped by Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8 to reach our “Samaria” here in Charlotte. Thus, a small group of believers all moved to the university area to impact students the same way we were while in college.

Core Values

We have two local leaders and two from our parent church, Grace Community Church, in Raleigh. We also have 2 staffers here in Charlotte.
Keegan Rice
God grabbed hold of Keegan in high school, but it wasn't until college that he started being obedient to God's commands. He is a nerd who loves reading, ultimate frisbee and video games.
He is married to Amy and has three beautiful girls, Aria, Riley and Joy!
Daryn Williams
Daryn's heart was drastically changed by Christ while attending NC State University. He enjoys Ultimate Frisbee, running, and making new friends based around the gospel of Jesus.
He and his wife, Lauren, got married this past January.
Berk Wilson
While in school at Clemson, Berk's heart was gripped by a passionate love for Jesus and a desire to see the nations reached with the gospel!
Berk and his wife, Barbara, have raised six boys and currently live in Cary, NC.
Ed Russ
Ed graduated from that light blue school down the road, and we forgive him for that. He loves teaching the Word of God, holding babies, eating caramel popcorn and talking with anyone who will listen about how Jesus can change their life.
Ed and his wife, Mary, live in Raleigh, NC and have two daughters.
Shannon Beamon
Shannon seriously doubted God's love and her own salvation until encountering him afresh in college. Since then, God's led her to the awesomely dynamic NCL family where she serves as a bi-vocational ministry associate.
When she isn't doing that -- or happily padding through bookshelves in her second job as a librarian -- she's usually off writing her own stories, kayaking any body of water large enough to hold a boat, or (somewhat intentionally) loosing her shoes at friends' houses.
Jordan Cooke
God used some bold and caring friends to help grab Jordan’s attention and his heart during his freshman year at N.C. State. Hearing the gospel changed his life!
Jordan has been in full-time vocational ministry since 2009 (with NCL since 2018). Outside "working hours," he enjoys photography, reading a good book and hanging out with friends!
